Dear Board of Trustees,
In my opinion we should not have bring your own device (BYOD) at Nelson Central School. BYOD is when children bring their device such as Ipads,laptops & Ipod touches to school.
Firstly people play on their device to long and get no fun outside. People get headaches from playing too long on their devices.
Another reason is that devices cost a lot of money.They can also get a very bad virus and cost lot’s of money to fix them. Also some parents don’t have that money so the kids feel left out because all the other kids playing on their devices.
Lastly I believe the devices could be distracting. Children could go on them in a test and look up the answer and cheat on their test. Children could play games on them when they are meant to be reading. They would get told off.
In conclusion I believe BYOD should not be at Nelson Central school. I hope you don’t choose BYOD for Nelson Central
